Project Next Generation

Our Library has received a Year 8 Project Next Generation grant! Funding for Project Next Generation is provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Secretary of State/Illinois State Library under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).

Lego Engineering Club

Children ages 10 and up are invited to explore and play by using a variety of Lego sets. Tweens and teens will learn how to build various simple machines, interactive video games, and Lego creations that move. Please email the Youth Services team at to sign-up and for more information.

If you would like to be a mentor to our youth, please ask for more information at the Youth Services desk. Our previous grants have earned exemplary status, meaning that our library is serving as a model for other libraries in the state of Illinois.
